Life Story for Glen Howard Henderson

With truly broken hearts the family announces the passing of Glen H. Henderson on July 19th, 2017 in the I.C.U. Department of the NHS Welland Site. Surrounded by the unending love of his family, he slipped away peacefully and quietly at 12:43 AM at the age of 67 years.
He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife Ruth and his only child, a loving daughter Lauren Elizabeth who along with his loving son in law Sean Drew, gently guided and supported him on his final journey home.
He was predeceased by his parents Beatrice and Percy as well a elder brother Donald (Patricia). His sister Elaine Eros and brothers Jim (Leila), Gary (Gayle), Robert (Lorna) will always miss him.
Also survived by his loving father in law Donald Detlor, his caring sister in law Jean Adams and brother in law Robert (Maureen). His two tiny darlings Tetley and Meadow miss him already. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
According to Glen's wishes cremation has taken place with a private service and interment of ashes to be held at Lundy's Lane Cemetery Niagara Falls at a later date. A celebration of life with his immediate family to follow the services. Rev. Dr. Clyde Ervine will be the officiant.
Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the War Amps or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
A very heartfelt thank you to all who cared for him at home or in hospital. He appreciated each and every one of you.
Glen was a man of many facets with immense integrity, determination, gentleness and pride. He would ask that you take a moment to sit down with those you love and enjoy a meal together to celebrate his life.
