ROSEBOROUGH, Viola G. “Vie” (nee Henry) – Passed away peacefully after a long battle with lymphoma, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Sunday September 3, 2017. Loving wife and best friend of Joseph for 34 years. Cherished mother of Karla (Pat) Smith, Kris (Stella) Schmidt and Tara (Dan) Hynes. Proud grammy of Crystal, Jordan, Jasmin, Lexi, Adida, Cynthia, Kourtney, Jesse, Karl Jr., Virgil, KarrLie, Taylor, Nicholas, Ashlee, Luke, Jessica, Jamie, Michelle and great-grammy of 8. Dear sister of Jim (Pat) Henry, George (Lil) Henry; sister-in-law of Ernie (Jeannine) Roseborough and Bernice Royer and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Karl Schmidt and her parents James and Gwendolyn Henry. Vie was a long time member of Lions Club International - a past member of the Fort Erie, Black Creek and Stevensville Lions Clubs, St. Davids Lioness and currently a member of the St. Davids Lions Club.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Friday at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow. A reception and Lions Memorial service will be held at the St. Davids Lions Club, 1462 York Road, St. Davids. In memory of Vie, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society of Canada.
