Life Story for Mildred Jean Whittet (Burridge)

Mildred Jean  Whittet (Burridge)
Mildred Jean (Burridge) Whittet - Passed away at the age of 98 at Bella Senior Care Residence on January 8, 2018. Born and raised in Hamilton, Jean moved to Niagara Falls in 1928 and helped her family run the Burridge Bakery at 2052 Main Street which became a prominent part of the local community for over thirty-five years. She was also an active parishioner of both All Saints Anglican Church and Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Predeceased by her parents William and Leah Burridge, husband Bill Whittet, and brother Jack, Jean will be dearly missed by her friends and family including sons Bryan Whittet (Debby) and Bill Whittet (Kelly), daughters Patricia Harrison (Wilf) and Sandra Leslie (Frank), grandsons Scott Leslie, Andrew Leslie (Melissa), Noel Harrison (Patti), Brett Harrison (Shelly), Brandon Whittet and Joshua Whittet, granddaughters Jamie (Jay) and Melissa Whittet, and her many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. A private family interment has taken place at Fairview Cemetery. According to Jean’s wishes, no funeral or visitation will be held. The family would like to thank the staff at Bella Senior Care Residence for their many years of compassionate care for Jean.
