ISEPPON, Ateo “Red”
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Red, in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 88 on Monday January 29, 2018. Loving husband of Luella (nee Hall) for over 30 years. Proud father of Scott (Linda). Predeceased by his first wife Daphne (nee Douglas), his sister Elsa Secco (Augustino), and his brother Ivan (Mathilde). Red will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and business associates.
Red’s passion for “all things construction” was rooted in his beloved Silvertown childhood. He lived to see many projects built from his 2 main companies, Dominion Const. & I&S Const. (both tied to the Spironello family) & later, assisted other builders in projects. He encouraged many into the trades and relished good competition with Gusto, The Maid of the Mist at the rivers edge, Flying Saucer, Inclined Rail at the falls, many, many schools, hotels, strip malls, and most of Kent St. Later he assisted with the Prince of Wales renovation, Queens Landing, 20 Bees Winery, the list goes on, many of which stand out as land marks today. His long service to Niagara Centre for Youth Care & other community causes were significant but humbly quiet. His love of life and wonderful sense of humour will be stamped in the hearts and memories of those who knew him.
Family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A celebration of his life will take place at the funeral home on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 1 PM with cremation to follow.
