MORRISON, George Lawrence – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George (Moe) Morrison, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, on Tuesday February 13, 2018 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 86. He is survived by his best friend, wife and partner Mary, who has faithfully remained by his side for 45 years. Loving father of Diane Saccone. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Kory (Julie) Steward and Kara (Jon) Steward. Proud great-grandfather of Chloe, Presley and Cassius (Cash) Steward and Marshall Steward Roch. George retired from Canadian National Railroad (CNR) after 40 years, then worked as a gardener for the Niagara Parks Commission. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed having coffee with “The Gang” at Tim’s.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow. In memory of George, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
