MIRDAWI, Abdal – Passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on
Monday February 13, 2023 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Simone for over 53 years.
Loving father of Amira (Peter Holer) Mirdawi and Abdal Mirdawi (Catherine DeGiorgio).
Caring Papa of Noah, Brooke, Lidiah, Lailah and the late J.J. (2014). Dear brother of
Suleiman (Kerri) Mirdawi and Ali Ghadban. Father figure to Jennifer & Charlene. He will be
greatly missed by his dearest friends Dianne Olsen and Keith McDow. Abdal is predeceased
by his many siblings. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended
family.
Abdal (Papa) is remembered as a socialite, who seemingly made friends everywhere he
went. He could often be found in his garden, tending to his variety of plants. If not there, he
was most likely in his garage, working on a vehicle or tinkering with his extraordinary tool
collection. He was the go-to when anything needed repairs. Whether it was a car, a garden,
household needs, Papa seemed to truly be well versed in all trades. He was always the first
to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it. In his time of need, he remained a jokester
amongst his family and those caring for him. The family would like to extend their sincerest
gratitude and thanks to Dr. Manser, Dr Dooler, St. Elizabeth, Right at Home and Care
Partners.
Friends and family are invited to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street,
Niagara Falls, on Saturday February 18, 2023 from 11 am to 2 pm. A funeral service to
celebrate his life will take place at 2pm in the chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview
Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to Walker Family Cancer
