ISHII, Akihiko “Alex”–
Gone to his heavenly home. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Akihiko Ishii on March 4th, 2023, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, at the age of 71. Akihiko began his journey in Canada in the early 1990’s. When he was a young man in Japan, Akihiko became a chef; a profession he loved and continued during his early years in Canada. He was passionate about travel and the hospitality and tourism industry, that in 1993 he decided to become a tour guide. This was a job that brought him many years of joy, and allowed him to meet people from all over the world. He retired in 2016, and spent his time gardening, woodworking, and caring and loving his dogs. He was a welcoming and hospitable person by nature, and loved cooking for his friends, and bringing everyone together for his annual house parties.
Akihiko will be fondly remembered and celebrated by his many friends around the world.
Visitation for Akihiko will be held at MORSE AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Saturday March 11th 2023 between 2pm and 4pm with cremation to follow.
