Obituary for Anne Reilly

REILLY, Anne - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Anne Reilly, Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at The Westbury Long Term Care in Etobicoke, at the age of 95.
Beloved wife of the late William Reilly (1998); Dear mother-in-law of Penny Reilly; Adored grandmother of Heather Saigeon (Sean); Loving great-grandmother to Piper, River and Emmi; Dear sister of Elizabeth Piette and Frank Mathias.
Anne is predeceased by her loving sons, James (1995), David (2020), Robert (2020), dear grandson, Nathan Reilly (2022), and brothers, Julius, Joe, George and John Mathias.
Anne's family and friends will all remember her warmth and beautiful smile. She loved being active and enjoyed her bridge club, puzzles, exercise classes, dancing at the German Village, walking, bicycling, music, theatre, and family vacations. She and Bill shared a welcoming home, hosting many gatherings with family and friends and always ready to lend support as needed. They enjoyed several trips around the world, acquiring new friends wherever they travelled. Anne had a special love for gardening and could be found in her yard, nurturing her flowers and plants, even into her 90's.
Most notable, is the loving and caring home that Anne and Bill provided for their children and their devotion to youngest son, Bob. They were proud grandparents of Nathan and Heather, and as Anne would say, “I could eat them both up”. Anne also enjoyed her great-grandchildren, and loved to watch their antics on Face Time, while residing at The Westbury Long Term Care in Etobicoke these last few years.
Thank you so much to the staff at The Westbury for the wonderful care that Anne received during a very difficult time in all our lives. You have our sincere gratitude.
Friends will be received by the family at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 1-2 p.m., with the service at 2 p.m., and a reception to follow. Private family interment of cremated remains is to be held at a later date in Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. In memory of Anne, those who wish may make a memorial donation to Niagara Support Services.
