Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Salvation Army Eventide Home, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Melvin “Slim” Standryk. Loving mother of Albert Stevens (Lesley), Susan Legal (Raoul), David Stevens (Karen), Robert Brost (Tammy) and Leanne Standryk (Bruce Macdonald). Fun loving grandmother of Amanda (Dylan), Dakota (Tamara), Kenneth (Joanne), Marc (Jamie), Brittany (Brendan), Stephane (Annie), Beliveau (Sarah), Kyle, Eric (Stefania), Frannie (Brian), Errol, Alex (Gabby). Great grandmother of 6 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by many friends, including those from her years at C.I.B.C. Special thanks to the caregivers at Salvation Army Eventide Home for their kindness, care and good humour.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of Barbara will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to either the Salvation Army Eventide Home or Niagara Health System.
