Condolences

Condolence From: Lucas
Condolence: We Are Connected It wasn’t that long ago when I met you for the first time. It took some coordinating and the stars were finally aligned. The moment that I met you, the visual similarity took my breath away. I was nervous about how you’d react and what I might say. But that unease soon passed and the words came tumbling out. It’s sometimes hard to start from zero, but with you that’s not what it was about. I could feel the kindness in your heart. And it felt like I was looking into a mirror. I was truly tickled pink. I have sometimes been told I wear my heart on my sleeve and that I’m too open. I know this sometimes results in things not working out and feeling broken. I want to focus on the positive and not think of what might have been. Or how I’m sorry I didn’t get more time with you or that the photo album was never filled. But time won’t stop and life won’t stand still. I hope you know that meeting you and the family was a gift. I hope you are watching from above and you know this – that we are connected. My daughter’s name has more meaning now than it did before. Remember, we share the same DNA :) and this little one is a firecracker. So, please do me a favor and check in from time to time and look over your granddaughter. Love, your son Lucas.
