Obituary for Carol Ann Morningstar

MORNINGSTAR, Carol Ann
December 20, 1956 - September 19, 2022

It is with a sad heart that we are saying goodbye to Carol Ann Morningstar. Born in Port Colborne, December 20th, 1956. Carol lived in Niagara Falls for over 60 years. She overcame many obstacles with a brave soul and great success her whole life.
Family and friends were the most important to her. Carol never missed a birthday with a call, a card, and a song ‘Happy birthday to you’. Carol was a highly competitive card player and loved to beat everyone at cribbage. She loved her weekly cribbage night and missed going over the last 2 years.
Carol worked at Table Rock with the Niagara Parks Commission for over 42 years. A dedicated employee, she took great pride running the elevator and introducing everyone to the wonderful view of the falls from the scenic tunnels.
Predeceased by her mother Shirley Rowan Ottmann and her brother Butch Morningstar. Carol will be greatly missed by her four remaining siblings. Lynda (Bruce)Bowman, David (Carol)Morningstar, Bill (Terry)Morningstar, Susan Ottmann. Sister-in-law Leslie Symes Morningstar.
Card nights, holidays and birthday calls will be missed by all the nieces and nephews, Erica (Alan)Medlar, Nathan (Mandy) Bowman, Rowan (Anna Marie) Bowman, Derek (Vicki) Morningstar, Andrea (Shawn) Clegg, Kyle Morningstar and Robyn Morningstar, Danielle Ottmann, Shannon Ottmann Baker and Maddison Ottmann Baker. Carol will be dearly missed by her best friend Marshall.
Thank you to all the Niagara General hospital and the Port Colborne hospital staff for their great care during these last few months.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place Heartland Forest, on October 16, 2022 from 2-4pm in the Forestview Room. Arrangements entrusted to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls. Memories photos and condolences may be shared at www.morseandson.com
