My childhood bff ❤

As a kid I guess I always thought that our friendship was meant to be- right from riding in taxis to kindergarten together... so many of my childhood memories were made with Chantal and many of them I'll never forget... she was my best friend when we were kids- which was really easy, given that she only lived a short bike ride away. It also turned out my father lived down the street from the Jackmans growing up. I'll always remember the summers spent swimming, sleepovers, hanging out at the mall, school trips, halloweens spent together- honestly just so many great childhood memories of what being a kid is supposed to look like... One thing I remember was how much Chantal loved cats... I remember one afternoon we had tagged along to one of Robert's ball hockey games and while he played, we wandered... and we found this cute little stray cat. We had named it, had a life plan for him, and were convinced we were saving him.. Chantal thought for sure that we could convince her parents to let us bring this cat home... well... that definitely didn't happen. Not even close... Unfortunately we lost touch over the years- likely how most childhood friendships go I suppose... I wish I could have known her as well as an adult... but I'll never forget her beautiful soul. Chantal- you were so much of my childhood- thank you so much for the wonderful memories... your beautiful soul left this earth too soon. Love always- Robin
