Obituary for Charles "Charlie" Chapman
CHAPMAN, Charles Dick –
On Friday September 1st, 2023, Charlie passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 99. Loving and devoted husband of Yvonne (d. 2001), dear father of Sharon Chapman-Sheehan and her husband John and Greg Chapman and his wife Ashika. He will also be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his grandchildren Matthew (Heather) Sheehan, Hannah (Michael) DaSilva, and Caleb and Savannah Chapman. Great grandpa to Hudson and Harlow Sheehan, and Mary and Sarah DaSilva. Remembered and loved by his nieces Kathy, Janet, and Holly. Also remembered by Wendy Betts, whose loving care of Charlie, and constant support for our family over these many years has allowed him to stay in his home. Charlie was predeceased by his parents Harry and Hazel Chapman, brother Dr. J.K. Chapman, and sister Irene Savage.
In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and interment to occur at a later date in the village of Gagetown, New Brunswick, where Charlie was born, and always called home. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Arthritis Society or a charity of choice.
