April 15, 1937 – March 24, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles “Chuck? McPhaden at Douglas Memorial Hospital on Sunday March 24, 2024 at the age of 86. Charles was predeceased by his loving wife Marilyn of 42 years, as well as his brothers Donald, Allan, and Barry. Charles leaves behind his son Glenn and grand-daughter Emma. Emma brought him so much joy through the years and was at the forefront of his thoughts in his last days. Charles was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and was always happiest in the great outdoors.
Many thanks to all the staff on the palliative floor at the hospital for always going above and beyond to make his final days as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
As per Charles’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial. If you were in his life, please reflect and remember the fun times you shared.
