Obituary for Christina Bianco
BIANCO, Christina (nee Quaranta)
September 26, 1933 – May 11, 2023
Our family matriarch, Christina Bianco, has been welcomed into her Heavenly home on May 11th, 2023, in her 90th year. Waiting for her is Gabriele (1994), beloved husband of 43 years. She will also be reunited with her sister Carmela (Quaranta) Luca, brothers Filippo and Vincenzo Quaranta, parents Rocco and Maria and her special friend, Pietro Bonisolo. Christina’s presence will be deeply missed by her loving children Josie (Mark Selvig) Bianco, Mary Bianco, and Tony (Rose) Bianco. “Nanna” cherished her grandchildren Rich (Julie) Tanos, Jocelyn (Daniel) Longridge and Christopher Bianco and her great grandchildren Amelia, Hannah, Alexander, and Benjamin. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be remembered as “Nanna” to everyone.
Christina immigrated to Canada from Bianchi, Italy in 1949 with her family and married Gabriele in 1951. She worked many years at both Ferree Leather and Canadian Home Products. “Ma” took pleasure tending to her garden, having coffee while playing cards, cooking, and baking for her family. You were always welcome in her home, with something delicious to eat and stories about the old country.
Our family invites friends to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, for a visitation on Sunday May 14, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann Church, 5740 Buchanan Avenue, Niagara Falls, on Monday May 15, 2023 at 1 pm, with Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
