Obituary for Dennis Gregory Sparkman
SPARKMAN, Dennis Gregory - With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Dennis on April 12, 2021, one month shy of his 75th birthday. He will be forever loved by his wife, Ljudmilla as well as daughters Marianne (Steve), Melanie (Murray) Armstrong of Kitchener, Valeria Solovjova and Viktoria (Ushir) Patel of Florida. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren Paige, Mackenzie, Lily, Teagan, Peyton, Ella, Colby, Veronika, Lucas, and Sofia as well as by his younger brother Steve (Marcia) Sparkman and his many many cousins. Dennis is predeceased by his parents Roland and Lena and older brothers Rolly and Jim.
Dennis was a proud graduate of Stamford Collegiate as well as Brock and the University of Toronto. A lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, he managed his own independent accounting office for many years. He was active in the Niagara sporting community for much of his life, enjoying baseball and hockey. Dennis was a loving and easy-going man with a big heart and a strong faith in God. He looked forward to his vacations sitting on the beach in the sun, as well as relaxing on the couch watching his favourite teams (lose). He will be forever remembered as a caring and loyal friend who was passionate about supporting those around him, which includes his many coffee-time friends and members of the Bethany Church.
Under current pandemic conditions, regulations have been set in place that limit the number of visitors allowed in the funeral home at a given time. All visitors must wear a face mask and practice physical distancing (visit thebao.ca or call funeral home for further information). As attendance for visitation is limited, attendees must pre-register at https://www.morseandson.com/memorials/dennis-sparkman/4584146/index.php Visitation will be held at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street on Saturday April 17, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm. A Private Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home. Cremation will follow with interment at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery at a later date. The Service for Mr. Sparkman will be livestreamed on facebook.com/morseandson on Saturday April 17, 2021 at 4pm.
