Obituary for Dianne Ellen Chapman (Bush)

CHAPMAN, Dianne Ellen (nee Bush) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dianne Ellen Chapman (nee Bush), surrounded with her family’s love at the Salvation Army Eventide Home on June 26th, 2022 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Edwin for 61 incredible years. Loving mother of Beth (Ken) Burns, Julie (John) Sherwood and Kent (Kim) Chapman. Cherished Gramma of Kylee and Kristen Burns, Allyson and Jamie Sherwood, and Owen and Kara Chapman. Dianne was a Registered Nurse from the Mack Training School for Nurses, St. Catharine’s General Hospital, Graduating Class of 1960. Through her service of others Dianne made lifetime friendships and shared many years of fun and laughter. She, together with one of her best friends, volunteered their services for 42 years and delivered meals to seniors with Meals on Wheels. Dianne and Ed enjoyed worldwide travel with friends. She always wanted to do something fun! She loved silly laughter with her friends and often asked, “can we get into some kind of trouble?” Dianne enjoyed her girlfriends as they would always gather for birthdays, monthly breakfasts and lunch dates. She was a very proud Gramma! Known to everyone as “the Darlings”, she always looked forward to a special day with each grandchild on their birthday with a lunch date and a day of shopping. Dianne will be remembered for her genuine kindness and care for others. She was always the first to ask, “what can I bring?” for any gathering. Family and friends were always first. She was also known by Di, Mom, Dianne-Ellen, Gramma Di, Didles, Auntie Di, Mrs. C. and Bushy and was always so full of love and goodness deep in her soul. Dianne will be sadly missed and forever remembered by family and a wonderful circle of friends who all loved her. The family would like to thank the staff of the Eventide Home for their care and compassion in Dianne’s final days. Cremation has taken place. We hope to celebrate Dianne’s life with family and friends at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society. Memories, photos and condolences may be shared at www.morseandson.com
