JAMIESON, Donald James
February 26, 1937 – September 6, 2019
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Jamieson, at the age of 82, after a long and courageous battle in Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Lee Jamieson. Predeceased by his eldest daughter, Donna Metcalf, his mother Margaret, his father James, and his brother Douglas. Loving father of Dianne Secco, son-in-law Thomas Metcalf and cherished grandpa of Olivia and Gordon. Devoted step-father of Terry (Vern) Koabel and Carol (AJ) Heafey. Treasured “Papa” of Carlee, Derek and Rebekkah. Don retired from Oneida Canada Ltd in 1999 with 44 years of loyal service. He was an avid golfer and bowler and played baseball and hockey in his younger years. After retirement, Don and his wife, Lee, enjoyed playing euchre at various clubs throughout the Niagara Region. A special thank you to all of the ICU Nursing Staff and the Palliative Care Unit at GNGH for their kindness and support. Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will follow at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
