CRYDERMAN, Doris Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Smith) – Passed away peacefully on Saturday February 13, 2021 at the age of 85. Beloved mother of Robert ‘Bob’ Polegato, Loretto (Bruce) Richardson, Geoffrey (Brenda) Polegato and Jennifer Turner. Loving grandmother of Jim Turner, Kristopher Turner, Scott Richardson (Kristen), Alescia Richardson (Rob), Lori Polegato, David Polegato and Amy Polegato. Great grandmother to Maximo, Sophia, Odette, Victoria and Austin Turner, Tristan and Sage Richardson, Amity and Loxley Dewitt. Betty fought a hard battle against Parkinson’s Disease for 23 years. Through out her life she had worked as a Bookkeeper, School Teacher and a Registered Nurse. Betty always had a zest for learning and in her 70s she was still taking university courses. In taking a course in children’s books and literature, she was able to produce and write her own book. Betty had a love for crafts, sewing, ceramics and reading. She loved her family, and would always be there to help anyone in need. Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private celebration of Betty’s life will take place at a later date.
