It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Cole at age 89 at the Niagara Falls Hospital. Dorothy was a resident of Emerald Retirement Residence. She was predeceased by her siblings Arnold and Gladys Shearing, Jack and Maureen Shearing, Muriel and Baden Matthews.
She is survived by her brother Lloyd and Bonnie Shearing. Loving mother to Steven Cole and Janet Cole (Jim Fleming). Grandmother to Aaron Cole and Austin Cole. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.
Dorothy worked at the Royal Bank for many years until her retirement. Dorothy was very creative and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and colouring. Dorothy also enjoyed travelling and shopping for clothes. She loved to play golf and cards. Dorothy was an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Toronto Maple Leaf’s and Blue Jay's. Dorothy was a nature lover and enjoyed her cat Tigger. Mom we will miss your feisty personality. You will be forever in our hearts.
As an expression of sympathy those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Humane Society or Diabetes Association.
