CORKERY, Edwin, Patrick (Ted) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ted on August 5 at GNGH at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Betty for 69 years, devoted father of Judy (the late Donald) Canham and Jim (Cathy) Corkery. Adored grandfather of Mike and Jeremy Corkery, Amy Prochwnik and Todd Canham as well as seven great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by parents Michael and Mary Corkery. Ted retired from Niagara Regional Police Services after 35 years of dedicated service. He was then appointed to the Ontario parole board for six years. Ted was an avid New York Yankees Fan. The family would like to thank the staff at GNGH for their care and compassion in his final days.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St., on Friday from 7-9 pm and Saturday from 10-11am.A service to commemorate the life of Ted, will be held at 11 am on Saturday. Cremation has taken place; a private family interment will take place at a later date. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Ileitis and Colitis Foundation.
