Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" Kinney (Gibbons)
KINNEY, Elizabeth “Betty” (Gibbons) –
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 17th, 2023, at GNGH, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Gordon for 58 years. Devoted mother of Bruce (Nicole), and Laura Haw (Bill). Adoring Granny of William (Virginia), Emily, Leah, and Sean. Betty will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law and best friend Margaret McGrath. Betty was born in Timmins, ON and moved to Chippawa in 1964 where she and Gordon raised their family and made many lifelong friends. Betty loved golf, and her time spent with friends at Willodell, and Eagle Creek (Naples, FL).
The family would like to thank the staff at GNGH for their care and attention, and Pastor Anita for her much appreciated support.
As per Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Monday February 20, between 2-4 and 6-8. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Betty will be held at Stamford Presbyterian Church at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to Stamford Presbyterian Church.
