MITCHELL, Ella Marie “Ellie” – After a brave struggle, surrounded by her family and loving partner, on Monday July 1, 2019, at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay. Beloved partner of Gary Groves; Loving mother of Julie (Mark) Beck, of White Rock, B.C., and Andrew, of Niagara Falls; Dear Nana of Chloe, Max, Rachel, Bryce and Daniel; Sister of Jeannette Wasnidge, and the late Ann Greenwald; Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Roy & Elsie Hardison. A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Ellie was a proud member of the Remax Niagara Team for over 30 years, and enjoyed spending time up north throughout her life. Ellie made friends everywhere she went, and cherished each and every relationship.
Ellie’s family will receive friends at the Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, from 5-8 pm on Sunday and from 11 am-1 pm on Monday. Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Interment Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Niagara Health Foundation. Ellie’s family wish to extend their sincere appreciation to all those who have shared in her care throughout her journey.
