Obituary for Fred Trelford
TRELFORD, Fred
October 13, 1943 - November 29, 2022
With broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Fred on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, in his 80th year. Beloved father of Joseph “Joe” Trelford (Sheila). Grandfather of Alex, Kathryn and Christopher. Adopted father of Jim Trelford. Cherished brother of Lourine “Renie” Hollingshead (late Ted), and brother-in-law of Jean Trelford and Sandy Trelford.Lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews including his special friends Sue, Rick, Gary, Jamie, Sara and many others. Fred will be missed by his beloved dogs Chevy and Cooper and his cats. Predeceased by parents Ernest and Bessie Trelford, his wife Mary, sisters Elva Jones (Chic), and Naomi Sloggett (Ken), brothers Clem Trelford (Bobbie), Deward Trelford and Ernest “Arnold” Trelford. Fred worked at wire weaving for a number of years and was a great carpenter. He loved telling jokes, making people laugh, going to garage sales, being out in his yard cutting and splitting cords of wood. We sincerely thank all First Responders and the care givers at the hospital for their compassionate care.
At his request cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Niagara Falls Humane Society.
