It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Fritz Wilcke on July 1st, just days before his 93rd birthday. Beloved husband to Ingrid for 67 years. Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Harriet (Randall), Fred (Joanne), and Linda. Loving Opa to his four grandchildren, Adam, Brittany (Cameron), Kathryn, Krystal (Eric) and Great Opa to Levi and Rhett. Will also be missed by his fur kids Toby and Shelby.
Fritz was born in Kassel, Germany and moved to Canada in April 1956. He was the greatest story teller. He would share stories of the ‘old country’, he would share memories of all the places he and Ingrid have travelled, and he would make sure you were listening to it all. He was a hard worker, and wasn’t good at sitting still. He enjoyed keeping busy - whether it was gardening, woodworking, fixing something that needed fixing, Fritz could do it all. He will be forever remembered by his family and friends.
In accordance with Fritz’s wishes cremation will take place, and a private celebration of life will be held. As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to Diabetes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
