BATEMAN, G. Earl – Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday November 21, 2019 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Carole for 51 years. Loving father of Richard Bateman, Robert (Karen) Bateman and Beth (Rick Pitul) Lacasse. Caring Papa of Mitchell, Zachary, Jasmine, Alex, Ethan, Dillon, Jacob, Alexandria and Antony. Great-Papa of Lillian. Dear brother of William (Bev) Bateman and Alice (the late Norman) Cole. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Earl leaves behind many friends in the publishing industry and in Scouting.
The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., on Sunday November 24, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Earl’s life will be held at the funeral home on Monday November 25, 2019 at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation in lieu of flowers to Heart Niagara or the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
