It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George on April 18 at Niagara Falls at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Beth) for 32 years. Devoted father of Dan (Shauna) and Thom (Emily). Adored grandfather of Paul, Madeleine, Elliott, Charlotte and Sophie. Dear brother of Bill, Charlie, Gracie, Donny, Fran, Betty, and Ellen. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. George was a retired Detective Sergeant with the O.P.P. following 42 years of service, and will be remembered and greatly missed by his many colleagues.
The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, Ontario on Wednesday, April 24 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A service to celebrate George’s life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 25 at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place, a private family interment to follow at a later date. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada.
