MASUR, Gregory Alexander – Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday November 8, 2022 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Rita for 65 years. Loving father of Mike (Diane) Masur, Brenda (Chris Lilly) Hansen, Laura (late Peter) Masur-Reilly, Bret (Dawn) Masur and Greg Jr. (Kim) Masur. Gregory will be missed dearly by his grandchildren Kylie, Tyler, Jessica, Stephanie, Riley, Shaughn, Kyra, Quinn, Kael, Zachary, Adam, Alexa, and Braden. Gregory was the great-grandfather of Emmerson with two more great-grandchildren on the way. Gregory loved family, one of ten siblings, with numerous nieces and nephews and loved arranging family gatherings and keeping in touch with his large extended family in Scotland and Nebraska.

Gregory retired from Conagra Foods (Chef Boyardee) as the Purchasing Manager in Niagara Falls after 30 years. Gregory was a very active volunteer in the community such as the Canada Day Committee. He was a long-time parishioner of St. Thomas More Church where he ushered in addition to participating on the refugee, and bingo committees. Gregory loved to dance and is well known as president of Rainbow Squares as well as teaching line dancing at local halls and schools with his wife Rita. He was an avid gardener, enthusiastic about sports including playing, coaching, and refereeing basketball, playing baseball, and making the backyard ice rink for his children and neighbours to enjoy. Not to mention starting the odd neighbourhood water fight - a big kid at heart. He was very social and loved being the life of the party. Gregory was awarded as a Good Canadian Citizen which he took great pride in.

His family would like to thank the staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital for their compassionate care. Gregory will be missed by his many friends, family and loved ones.
