Obituary for Harold Wayne Bredin

Harold Wayne Bredin
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Harold Wayne Bredin announce his passing at Innisfree House, at the age of 67, on October 28th, 2019, after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this summer. He passed away peacefully after spending the weekend at home with his wife and four children. Harold was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, on August 24th, 1952. He grew up, the second of five children, on Barker Street. He is predeceased by his parents, Jack and Doris (Barnes) Bredin, as well as his beloved dog, Marlee. He enjoyed several great and interesting career changes over his life; crushing stone at the Norton, caring for his girls as a stay at home dad, exploring North America as a long haul truck driver, and learning about the joy that dogs bring to one’s life as a retiree with new Doberman puppies. He will be dearly missed by his wife Lisa (Gebhart) and his children Emily Harris (Michael), Moira Brander (John), Eric Florjancic (Carla) and Brittany Florjancic. His stories will be passed on to his three grandchildren Asher Harris, Serena Florjancic, and Madeleine Brander. He will also be missed by his siblings Karen Hyatt (Wayne), Sandra Bredin (Ken Gowdy), David Bredin (Kim), John Bredin (Karen) and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Especially missed by his constant companions, their girls, Lene and Gabriella. Special thanks to the ParaMED team in Cambridge, specifically Dr R. Halligan and Nurse Pat B., for the wonderful care provided to Harold over this past summer and fall.
The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of Harold will follow. Cremation has taken place. Internment will take place at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Harold to Innisfree House, Kitchener (lisaardandinnisfree.com) or the Canadian Mental Health Association (cmha.ca) would be appreciated.
