DUFFY, Helen Margaret (nee. Day) –
Helen Margaret Duffy (nee. Day), passed away peacefully on May 14th, 2023, in Niagara Falls at the age of 85. Helen, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was known for her passion for family dinners every Sunday, and for her love of dancing and bowling. She immigrated from Scotland with her husband Ted and daughter Angela in 1961. She went on to serve in the service industry with her husband for 35 years and was past president of Niagara Falls Rotary Ann's. Helen is survived by her husband Ted, daughter Angela, son Stephen (Cara), grandsons Andrew (Allie) and Bryan (Carla), great grandchildren Noah, Lily, Logan and Arthur, Chase and Dax, her sister Betty (late Andrew), sister-in-law Margaret, and many nieces and nephews in Scotland. She was predeceased by her mother Margaret and father Arthur Day, mother-in-law Margaret and father-in-law Edward Duffy.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, ON on Wednesday May 17 between 2-4 and 7-9pm. A service to celebrate the life of Helen to be held at the funeral home on Thursday May 18th 11am, with interment at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery to follow. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers those who wish may make a memorial donation to The Walker Family Cancer Centre. Many thanks to the entire Palliative team for their care and support.
