Life Story for Howard James Watson

WATSON, Howard "Howie" James- On June 27th, 2019 surrounded by love our soldier went into his last battle and won with Peace. He will be reunited with devoted wife of 50 years Georgia Ellen Watson (2017) and beautiful daughters Hiedi Ellen Watson (1971) and Melissa Ellen Watson Shawanoo (2019). Survived by his beloved best friend and grandson River "Riv" Shawanoo as well as his adored granddaughter Willow Shawanoo and her spouse Heath "Cutie Pie" Embury. His soul will live on through “the babies” great grandchildren; Hudson "Hudi Buddy" Howard and Winter "Winty" Georgia Louise Embury. Survived by his loving Aunt Joanne Filer. Loving Brother by choice to "Sis" Bonnie Watson. Brother in Law and Childhood Friend to Lynda Mitchell (Lloyd) and Doug Filer (MJ). Predeceased by his Partner in Crime and brother Ken Watson and sister Sandra Orr. He will be missed by cherished nieces Jennifer Watson Hunsburger (Jamie), Kelly Orr Camelia (John), Alison Orr, Jane Mitchell Thibeault (Claude), Jena Mitchell (Rob), Godson Ken Watson, and handsome nephews Peter Orr, Michael Filer (Evelyn), David Filer (Holly) and Jim Filer. Plus many great nieces and nephews whom he always had in his heart.
"Howie" was a committed member to the Niagara Falls community, including to Big Brother Big Sisters, Niagara Chrysler, City of Niagara Falls and many other places. His presence will be missed greatly by so many.
Cremation has taken place and internment will be held at Lundy's Lane cemetery. Due to his wishes, large family and immense amount of friends if we have missed anyone who would like to attend the Gravesite Memorial please contact a family member for information. In lieu of flowers please give donations to Canadian Mental Health.
