Obituary for Jack Weaver

WEAVER, Jack
April 2, 1934 – November 20, 2023
We are sad to announce the passing of Jack C. Weaver at Niagara Falls General Hospital on Monday November 20, 2023 at the age of 89. Jack was born in Chippawa and educated at the Provincial Institute of Mining in Haileybury, Ontario. His career took him to Labrador, Northern New Brunswick and finally as operations Manager of the Aggregate Division of the Dufferin Group here in Ontario. He was predeceased by his spouse Rose Marie (nee Boudreau) of 43 years in 2002. He is survived by his loving wife, partner, and best friend Anita. His younger brother David and his wife Melanie will miss their weekly telephone calls, talking about all the farm life stories. He will be sadly missed by his three daughters Donna, (Paul) Franko, Janet (Steve) Thornton and Karen Weaver (Neil). Along with his stepchildren Darrell Ebersole, Louanne (Glenn) Cooke and Jeanette (Rick) Savage. Jack loved his grandkids and great grandkids. His famous handshake brought joy and laughter to all.
Jack was an outdoors guy who enjoyed hunting, fishing and all the stories that went with the sport. He was an avid golfer who often bragged about shooting his age. Jack and Anita took many golfing holidays together and he enjoyed their friendly competition. Jack especially looked forward to the guided bus and riverboat tours they took.
The family is so appreciative of the care and compassion he received from all the staff at the Greater Niagara General Hospital Stroke Unit.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls on Thursday November 30, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.
