MITCHELL, John McKnight- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John, on May 18, 2023 at the age of 92. Beloved and cherished husband of Renee for 67 years. Loving father of Lynn Camilleri (Mario), Jinnie Carpenter (David), Margaret Trout (Ross) and Andrea Schmidt. Proud grandfather of Alwyn (Anthony), Jeannie (Biagio), Tina, Jillian, Mitchell, Rachel (Miranda) and Nicholas (Natalie). Great grandfather of Layla, Luca, Marco and Anthony. Survived by his brother David and sister Jenny, and predeceased by his brother William “Wullie.” He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Dad was born in Glasgow, Scotland in January 1931 and married the love of his life, Renee in January '56. They immigrated to Canada in December of 1965 to start a brand new life with their three wee lassies in tow. And then in November of '71 their wee Canadian surprise was born.
Dad enjoyed a full life with his growing family, enjoying music and laughter. We will forever miss you, Daddy. "And I Love You So"

John is resting at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, where his family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 23rd from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A celebration of John’s life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, May 24th at 11 o’clock. Cremation to follow. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
