STEFANAC, John - The family of John Joseph Stefanac wish to announce his passing on Good Friday, April 19, 2019 after a lengthy illness. Left to mourn him deeply is his high school sweetheart, soulmate and wife Sandy (Eliasson). His pride & joy, his children, Sonja Herrington, John (Mary) Stefanac and Shane (Melissa) Stefanac. His grandchildren Nolan and Ainsley Herrington, Samantha and Vannessa Stefanac, Sophia and Eli Stefanac. Papa was loved & loved deeply and will always be remembered. Dearest brother to Jean and Sam Roberto, Steve and Aris Stefanac, Fran and Robert Hunt. Brother in law to Brenda and Edward Helinski, Georgene and Wayne Warriner. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, Michael Majetic, Emil (Sue) Majetic, Philip Roberto, Laurie (Marty) Rizzo, Adam (Jen) Hunt, Amy (Nino) Spadafora, Shannon Storm, Raun (Kassy) Stefanac, Arrin Handley, Edward Helinski, Timmy (Ashley) Helinski. John was predeceased by his sister Louise Majetic, parents John and Sophie Stefanac and in laws George and Virginia Eliasson. Also fondly remembered by life long best friends Donna and Gary Sutton, Uncle John to their children John (Lisa) Sutton, Mike (Melanie) Sutton, Jenni (Bob) Patti and Terra (Jay) Albertie. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. His gift to all was his smile, great sense of humour and willingness to help others. Family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. for visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Scapular Church on Wednesday at 1 pm. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society Niagara Region or The Walker Family Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family.
