Kathleen Maude "Kay"  Bean
BEAN, Kathleen Maude “Kay” – Passed away peacefully at Eventide Nursing Home on Tuesday August 13, 2019 at the age of 101. Predeceased by her beloved husband Daniel Nixon Bean (1987). Loving mother of Bonnie, Daniel “Wes” (Eleanor) and Linda (Jean). Loving grandmother of Rose Marie (Tim), Danielle (Chris), Jason, the late Brent, Ronda, Bryn (Diana), Shane and Bri (Bryan). Caring great-grandmother of Clark, Sarah, Jessica, Ashley, R.J., Francesca, Amelia, Charlie, Vivian, Lidia, Eric, Autumn, Nolan, Ainslyn, Noah and Hannah. Dear sister of Betty Sewar and the late Jeanne Caswell. Kay was a proud longtime active member of the Women’s Institute where she held various positions over the years. She taught Sunday School at Stamford United Church as well as sewing classes at night school at NFCVI. Kay and Dan were members of Oaklands and Willodell Golf Clubs. In her spare time Kay enjoyed aqua fit, fishing, gardening and was an avid bridge player.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral service to celebrate Kay’s life will take place at Stamford Lane United Church on Saturday September 21, 2019 at 12:00 pm followed by an interment at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to Stamford-Lane United Church.
