Obituary for Leslie Joan Booth

Leslie Joan Booth
1954 – 2022

The family of Leslie Joan Booth is saddened to announce her sudden death at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Leslie was the beloved daughter of the late Anne (1997) and Donald and stepmother Emily Booth (Kitchener). She is survived by her brother Ian (North Vancouver) and sister Janet (Welland). Lovingly remembered by cousins Linda Barnett, Judy Gault and Sandra Hayward and her goddaughter Leslie McLeod. Leslie was born in Toronto and raised in St. Catharines and attended Laura Secord Secondary School and Niagara College’s Hotel and Food Management Program. She retired from the Niagara Parks Commission in 2010 after more than 30 years. She was very proud of her success in managing Table Rock Restaurant for many of those years. Leslie was a life-long, active member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church. Leslie was a devoted, thoughtful, loving and generous daughter, sister and friend. She never failed to send a meaningful card or celebrate a special occasion in the lives of so many. Being invited to Leslie’s for dinner meant being treated to a five-star experience from the perfect table setting to a delicious meal. Heartfelt thanks to her friends who have helped out over the past weeks, especially Christina Esposito, Christine Porco Caldwell, and Mary Ruthven.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MORSE AND SON Funeral Home, 5917 Main St. Niagara Falls. As per Leslie’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 205 Linwell Road, St. Catharines on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:30 pm. Covid-19 protocols will be in place. The service will be livestreamed from the St. Giles Presbyterian Church facebook page. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Giles Presbyterian Church, St. Catharines.
