Obituary for Louis Yando

YANDO, Louis 1931 – 2022
Peacefully at GNGH on July 25th at the age of 91. Predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy (2014), as he was a deeply religious man with a strong faith, we know he has joined Dorothy in heaven. Louis will be sadly missed by his children Bill (Bev) Yando, Sandy and John Gullion, as well as, his grandchildren Nikita (Johnathan), Travis (Bethany), Tia (Brad), Natasha and Matty, and Ethan (Jess). He will be greatly missed by great grandsons Malakai and Maddox. Louis will be missed by his many brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews, some of whom have met him at the gates of heaven. He loved his family unconditionally and he loved bragging about each of them. Louie worked at Cyanamid-Welland Plant for almost 40 years until his retirement. Louie & Dorothy were active with the Salvation Army for over 50 years, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone.
In keeping with Louie’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive family and friends on Monday, August 15th from 6-9 pm. at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, A Memorial service will be held at The Salvation Army- Niagara Orchard Community Church, 5720 Dorchester Rd, Niagara Falls on Tuesday, August 16th. Visitation 10-11 a.m with Service to follow. Donations to the Salvation Army or Heartland Forest would be appreciated. Wearing black is not necessary, as this is a celebration of Louie’s life and he loved gardening and flowers.
