Obituary for Luigi Coletti

COLETTI, Luigi - Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Phyllis for 62 years. Dearly loved father of Frank (Shelley), Patrick (Josephine), Denise (James) Booker and Julie (Murray) McTaggart. Cherished Nonno of Jeff (Jennifer), Sarah, Jennifer, Aaron, Patrick, Lucas, Emily, Nicole and Ben. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Jennifer, his brother Tony and his sister Anna Coletti. Luigi came to Canada from Italy at the age of twenty. He will be fondly remembered as “Caruso” for his love of singing. He had many other talents which he loved such as gardening, wine and sausage making and building furniture for his grandchildren. He worked for eighteen years at the Canadian Ohio Brass as a Machinist and finished his working career at the Best Western Cairn Croft as their multi-talented handyman. He has joined his many pre-deceased family and friends where they can now sing together their favourite songs. He will be missed greatly by his nieces and nephews.
Under current pandemic conditions, regulations have been set in place that limit the number of visitors allowed in the funeral home and at the church at a given time. Visitation will be held at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020 from 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Scapular Church on Thursday, December 24th at 11 am. The Rite of Entombment follow at Fairview Mausoleum. In memory of Luigi, donations to the Parkinson Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by his family.
