In Hamilton, Magdica worked for Cudney Food Canning factory and Allan Industries, among other jobs to support her family as they purchased their first home in 1960 at 401 Lake Ave North. In 1976, the family relocated to Niagara Falls and purchased the Rapids Tavern and Hotel on River Road where Magdica was well known for her cooking and famous “Chicken in a Basket” and her unforgettable Superbowl parties. Magdica worked tirelessly alongside her husband and son for many years building a successful business.
