SAPORITO, Maria- Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on December 18th at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Vincenzo (1963). Loving mother of Salvatore “Sam”, Lucy Fortino (Fernando), Carmela Bambara (Giorgio) and the late Erminia Sirianni (2016) (Joe). Loving Nanni of seven grandchildren; Frances, Maria and Santino Bambara, John and Matthew Fortino, and Peter and Vincent Sirianni; Great Nanni of five great grandchildren; Alessio, Natalya, Arlo, Ella, and Theodore Predeceased by her siblings, Yolanda Semeraro, Angelina Mancuso, Emma Scarpino, Frank Elia and Erminio “Duke” Elia. Survived by her sister-in-law, Maria Elia. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Maria will be remembered for her warmth, love and kindness and she will be deeply missed.
Maria is resting at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, where her family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22nd from 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann Church on Friday, December 23rd at 11 o’clock. Interment with Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
