McGhie, Muriel – It is with deep sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Muriel McGhie on April 27, 2019 at Valley Park Lodge surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife to Tom for 60 years. Dear mother to Cathy (Craig), Tim (Jennie) and Bonnie (Dan). Loving Nana to Andrew (Emily), Zoe and Eric. Survived by brother Clifford, sister Helen, several nieces and nephews. Muriel grew up in Allanburg, was an avid sports fan who loved her Habs and Blue Jays. A very special thank you to the entire staff at Valley Park Lodge for their care and compassion.
Muriel is at the Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street. The family will receive friends on Monday April 29th from 6 to 9 p.m. A celebration of Muriel’s life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday April 30th at 1 p.m. Interment at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. The family wishes donations be made to Valley Park Lodge.
