MANCUSO, Raffaelina “Lina”- Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on November 3, 2022 at the age of 78. Beloved and loving wife of the late Giacomo “Jack” (2016) for 52 years. Loving mother of Maria Mancuso (Brian Kita) and Antonette Mancuso (Shane Bilodeau). Proud Nonna of Megan, Jade and Trinity. Dear sister of Giacomo (Beneditta), Franceschina (Aldo), Angelino (Rosa), Mario (Carmen) and sister-in-law of Alberto (late Rosa). Predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law Benedetto (Sarafina), Serafino (Elizabeth), Domenico (Maria), Carmela (Guiseppe), Angelina (Salvador) and Filippo (Luigina). Aunt to many adored nieces and nephews, both here in Canada and in Italy.
Lina immigrated to Canada at the young age of 20 and embraced the Canadian culture. Alongside her husband, she was fully devoted to raising her family, especially the love and bond she created with her granddaughters. She was an independent woman, who was always up for an adventure. She enjoyed travelling, crafting, sewing, quilting, painting and loved cooking for her family.
Lina started her career sewing and moved into becoming a pastry chef at Niagara Parks, where she retired. She is famous for her pastries and cakes that she enjoyed making for loved ones. She will be dearly missed and will live on in the memories of those who loved her.
Lina is resting at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, where her family will receive friends on Sunday, November 6th from 2-5 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Scapular Church on Monday, November 7th at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
