Obituary for Repha Smith
SMITH, Repha - Born on January 23, 1930 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Repha Smith went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2023 at the age of 93 years. She loved the Lord and served him for many years.
Repha was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years, Kenneth Smith. She loved her family, and she was so loved in return. She will be missed by her children Heather Cross (Mike), Laurie Webster (Bruce) and Grant Smith (Valerie) and her 9 grandchildren Jeremy Cross (Tara), Robin Cross (Bill), Melody McClelland (Peter) and Leslie-Ann O'Connor (Bob), Erin Gennuso (Seth), Ryan Webster, Ian Webster (Erin), Brandon Webster (Calista) and Sandra Smith. Repha also has 16 great grandchildren who brought her much joy in these last few years as her health and strength were failing.
She was an amazing Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, a woman of deep faith in God who prayed for her family and passed on lessons in accepting losses and difficulties of life with grace, trusting God when the path ahead looked dim.
Repha volunteered for Meals on Wheels and helped at Fair Glen Youth Camp (Beaverton, Ontario) when Ken was the director. She served in various roles at Grace Gospel Church in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Repha was a very good cook!
We know with full assurance that Repha is in the presence of the Lord, fully restored in heaven where there is no sickness or sadness... only joy and perfect love!
Family will welcome visitors at Grace Gospel Church, 5855 Valley Way, Niagara Falls on Friday June 30, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of Repha’s Life will follow at the Church at 11am. Those who are unable to attend the service may watch a livestream of it through the MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME Facebook page (www.facebook.com/morseandson). Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery. Those who wish may make a donation in Repha’s memory to Fair Havens Ministries or Grace Gospel Church Memorial fund.
