MEISSNER, Rolf Siegfried “Ziggy” – Passed away peacefully at Valley Park Lodge on Wednesday August 30, 2023 at the age of 97. Beloved husband of the late Hanny Charlotte Meissner (2015). Loving father of Rita (Eddie Fernandes) Meissner and Loretta (Greg Baynes) Mazaris. Caring Papa of Paula (John) Meissner, Jessica Scott and Rebecca Scott (Martin Phillips). Dear great-grandfather of Matthew, Joseph, Jacob and Charlotte. His positive attitude and outlook on life will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Ziggy was a long time auto mechanic in Niagara Falls retiring from Autoland Chrysler in 1990. In his spare time he enjoyed painting portraits and flying where he was able to share his passion for it as a longtime flight school instructor at the Niagara District Airport.
His family would like to share their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Valley Park Lodge for the wonderful care that he received with them.
Friends and family are invited to call at Morse & Son Funeral Home on Saturday September 2, 2023 from 11am to 1 pm. A Funeral service to celebrate his life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home.
