Rosa Di Bacco - Obituary Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 27 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her husband, Gaetano, to whom she was happily married for 60 years. Also predeceased by her cherished children, daughter Fulvia (Frank) Costabile and son Antonio (Sue) Di Bacco. Loving mother of Michael (Leonie) Di Bacco. Proudly remembered as “Nana” by her grandchildren Frank, Daniel (Laureen) and Jason (Lisa) Costabile, David, Olivia, Gabrielle, Evangelyn, Anna and Mattea Di Bacco, and Kendra (Brandon) Clarke, Shannon (Cameron) LeClerc and Ethan Di Bacco. Doting great-grandmother to Felix Costabile. Survived by her sister Teresa Fiore (the late Mike) and sister-in-law Anna Volpini (the late Ettore) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Michele and Santina Fiore and in-laws Antonio and Fulvia Di Bacco. Rosa immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1953, where she met Gaetano (Guy) who she married in 1956. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work and devotion to family. As a hairdresser, seamstress, cook and gardener, Rosa gave generously to a large community of friends and clients. With her husband, she spent many fond hours as a member of Club Italia.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Friday May 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Entombment at Fairview Mausoleum on Saturday May 13 at 11:30, with a lunch to follow at Club Italia. In memory of Rosa, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
