Obituary for Rose Elizabeth Antal
ANTAL, Rose Elizabeth 1947 – 2022
The family of Rose Antal (nee Lowry) are heartbroken to announce her passing after a brief illness on August 1, 2022. She leaves behind her husband of 49 years Charles, son Charles John and daughter Elizabeth Rose, in addition to friends and family. She was predeceased by her parents John and Rose Lowry, father and mother-in-law Charles and Veronika Antal, brother John and many other beloved relatives whom she told stories about fondly. To know Rose was to love her. She was kind, caring, considerate and selfless, always doing nice things for others ‘just because’ she wanted to, expecting nothing in return. She would go out of her way to pay a stranger a compliment or look for a specific item she knew would brighten someone’s day. Rose was a thoughtful and genuine person who never said a bad word about anyone. She encouraged us in every endeavour and was our biggest supporter. If there are angels on earth, Rose was most definitely one of them. Rose wanted us to thank all of the staff who took excellent care of her at GNG, especially Dr. Chaudhry and the staff on Unit D and ICU. We are all so thankful for you and the kindness you showed to Rose and her family. Mom was so incredibly grateful for all of you and we cannot possibly thank you enough. Visitation will be held on Monday August 8, 2022 from 5:00-8:00 pm at MORSE AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 5740 Buchanan Avenue, Niagara Falls. Interment will follow at a later date.
Finally, to honour Rose’s memory, we ask you to do as she would: be kind to others, pay a stranger a compliment, do something nice ‘just because,’ and enjoy a cup of tea and a chocolate bar, preferably Three Musketeers.
