CHANDLER, Shirley Ellen (Plummer)
July 17, 1936 – April 21, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Shirley Ellen Chandler on Sunday, April 21, 2019, at the age of 82. A loving and devoted wife and mother, Shirley will be forever remembered by her husband of 64 years, Carl, and their children, Terry (Guy Caporicci) and Cindy (Craig Plyley). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Amanda, Steven, Bryan (Allison), and Robb (Shanon). Beloved GGMa to Ava, Ben, and Andrew. She will be missed by her brother Clifford Plummer (Joyce), sister-in-law Margaret Chandler, and best friend Lorraine Armstrong. Much appreciation to the newfound friends and the staff at Stamford Estates. The family would like to thank Dr. Gibney, the staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre and Walker Family Cancer Centre, and Janice, Paula, and Chris from St. Elizabeth for their continued care. Special thanks to Dr. Adzich and the doctors and nurses at Hospice Niagara for their kindness and compassion. Shirley lived life to the fullest with many years of boating out of Smuggler’s Cove, travelling, cruising, and golfing. Carl and Shirley became snowbirds, spending winters in Florida and summers at Buckhorn Lake before settling back in Niagara. In honour of their daily happy hour, family and friends are invited to a celebration of Shirley’s life on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 2 to 5 p.m. (with a tribute at 4 p.m.) at Delphi Banquet Facilities, Main Hall, 4414 Portage Road in Niagara Falls. Arrangements entrusted to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family and may be made through Morse and Son Funeral Home or directly online.
