SIMMS, Susan – It comes with deep sadness to announce the sudden passing of Susan Mary Simms on Sunday November 20, 2022 at the age of 63. Beloved wife and true love of Ed for 28 years. Loving mother of David Rotella, Adam Rotella, Shaun (Grace) Hetherington and Brittany Simms (Jordan Burrows). Cherished grandmother of Gabe Champagne, Aurora Rotella, Andrew Hetherington and Dominic Rotella. Adored daughter of Doris and George Adams. Caring daughter in-law of Alice and the late Laurie Simms (2013). Dear sister of Betty Jean Keown (Bob Oldfield), Doreen (Kin) Lee and Donna (Paul) Jesik. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Susan’s proudest achievement was her children. Her first love and passion growing up was knitting. It was something she did almost every day throughout her life. Susan helped to organize the poppy project for the Niagara Falls Museum where she was able to bring people together to knit poppy’s for Remembrance Day. Susan had a strong faith in God and a caring heart for everyone she met.
Friends and family are invited to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, on Sunday November 27, 2022 from 2 – 4 pm & 7 – 9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Susan will take place at Lifepointe Bible Church, 736 York Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Monday November 28, 2022 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
