OVERMEYER, Theodor Henry “Theo”- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theodor Henry Overmeyer. Surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 24, 2023, in his 102nd year, Theodor has gone to be with his maker and to be reunited with the love of his life, Paula Overmeyer (Langelage).
Loving father of Norm (Irene), Angela (Overmeyer) Geiss, Ted (Barb), Erv (Robin), Rita (Bill) Muileboom and Mary (Phil) Dunnett. Cherished Opa of Melissa (Ed) Overmeyer-Mueller, Kathleen (Justin) Buonocore, Justin (Nikki) Overmeyer, Tyler (Jenn) Overmeyer, Aaron (Daniela) Overmeyer, Dylan (Cassandra) Muileboom, Dana (Jon) Overmeyer-Calow, Jaclyn (Justin) Crown, Kayla Muileboom, Kyle Geiss, Bailey Geiss and Lexi Dunnett.
Beloved great grandfather to 14 great grandchildren.
Theodor came to Canada in 1951 from Halverde, Germany; Paula followed in 1952 and they married shortly thereafter. Theodor will be remembered for his kind, humble heart, incredible love and dedication to his family. Theodor thoroughly enjoyed wood carving and gardening, supplying fruits and veggies for family all summer long.
Cremation has taken place. Theodor’s family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street on Wednesday, March 1st from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Memorial mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 3882 Main St., Niagara Falls on Thursday, March 2nd at 11 o’clock. Private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
