Obituary for William "Bill" Easterling
EASTERLING, William “Bill” – Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sunday March 21, 2021 in his 91st year. Beloved partner of Madeleine Bisson. Loving father of Bonnie McCarthy, Margaret (Paul) Scibetta, William Easterling Jr., Kevin Easterling, Lynn (Tom) Shapton, Debbie (Jack) Morneau, Barry Higgins and the late Bryan Higgins (2005). Caring grandfather of 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by his wife Jeannie Easterling (2013). Bill will be sadly missed by Madeleine’s family.
Bill was an avid bowler. He served in US Army during the Korean War where he learned to play the trumpet and was passionate about music and loved to play and sing for the rest of his life.
Under current pandemic conditions, regulations have been set in place that limit the number of visitors allowed in the funeral home at a given time. All visitors must wear a face mask and practice physical distancing (visit thebao.ca or call funeral home for further information). As attendance for visitation and service is limited, attendees must pre-register at https://www.morseandson.com/memorials/william-easterling/4567406/index.phpFamily will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. on Saturday March 27, 2021 from 1 to 3 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 3 pm. A live stream of the service will be able to be viewed at www.facebook.com/morseandson. Cremation will follow with a private family interment at a later date at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to Diabetes Canada or the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
